New chapter for Belfast’s five star Regency House

A new chapter begins for Belfast’s five star Regency House

Belfast’s five star Regency House is entering a new chapter as Aurient Limited hands operational stewardship of the landmark property to Fauna Hospitality Ltd.

Award winning chef Chris McClurg and his partner Alice Stewart, co founders of Fauna Hospitality, will now lead the Regency House team following Aurient’s extensive multi year restoration of the historic Crescent property.

Chris and Alice first began working with Regency House in October 2025 on a consultancy basis, helping to develop its food and drink offering through brunch services and bespoke dining experiences.

Under Fauna’s stewardship, plans are now underway to expand the ground floor dining area, creating a new restaurant and bespoke event spaces within the restored townhouses.

Regency House first opened in early 2022 and has since welcomed local and international guests. In 2025, it became the first property in Northern Ireland to receive a Michelin KEY, recognising its design, service and distinctive guest experience.

Aurient Limited, led by Anthony and Andrea Kieran, restored four Grade II listed townhouses on Belfast’s Crescent, bringing new life to buildings that had previously lain derelict.

Anthony Kieran said Regency House had been a passion project from the beginning, adding that Chris and Alice share Aurient’s appreciation for hospitality, innovation and exceptional experiences.

Chris McClurg said he and Alice had admired Regency House from afar before returning to Northern Ireland, and described the Crescent as one of Belfast’s standout destinations.

Work is due to begin imminently on three new dining areas, with further details on the restaurant concept expected in the coming weeks.
