Belfast International Arts Festival returns from 14 October to 8 November 2026, bringing artists from 19 countries to more than 30 venues across the city for its 64th edition.
This year introduces a new immersive arts programme at Studio Ulster, including TAKKUUK, an extraordinary journey into the Arctic featuring a soundtrack by BICEP, and Lost Communications: Underwater, a psychedelic audiovisual experience.
Music highlights include Senegal’s Orchestra Baobab, Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien and Norwegian violinist Henning Kraggerud.
Theatre takes centre stage with Brian Friel’s Faith Healer, starring Conleth Hill at the Lyric Theatre, alongside Big Telly Theatre Company’s immersive production Wedding, which begins at St Bartholomew’s Church before moving to the Lyric.
Other highlights include Thanks for Being Here at The MAC, the world premiere of Nōs by Ireland’s National Dance Company, Luail, and conversations with broadcaster Simon Mayo and novelist Sebastian Barry.
The festival also features visual arts exhibitions, contemporary dance and performances celebrating Northern Ireland’s creative talent alongside international artists.
