Sundays at the Maritime Mile

Sundays at the Maritime Mile

Thousands have been enjoying ‘Sundays on the Maritime Mile’ during the last months as part of Maritime Milestones, a year of celebrations led by Maritime Belfast Trust.

Maritime Milestones is a campaign encouraging everyone to enjoy Belfast’s iconic waterfront experience through a range of anniversaries, events, heritage, and international days animating Belfast’s iconic waterfront throughout 2022.

‘Sundays on the Maritime Mile’ is a free music programme from 125pm every Sunday. Programmed by Snow Water on behalf of the Maritime Belfast Trust, it features some of NI’s finest artists including opera, singer-songwriters, jazz, trad, folk, indie & electronic. Venues stretch across the mile and include the award-winning SoundYard, the SS Nomadic, the Drawing Offices, RiverBox and the Titanic and Olympic Slipways.

Forthcoming highlights include:

This August will feature new collaborations from some of NI’s finest artists, premieres of new work, plus we’re delighted to be hosting The Darkling Air’s only 2022 gig. The Maritime Belfast Trust is also partnering with Northern Ireland Opera for their Maritime Mile music programme. The company’s energy, ideas and high artistic standards have led to both national critical acclaim and an international profile. Northern Ireland Opera will be bringing pop-up performances of arias, songs, and operatic favourites to the Maritime Mile.
