2. Love Your Food Show, Lisburn, County Antrim, 7 – 9 March. A haven for food lovers, the Love Your Food Show will showcase over 100 food exhibitors and stalls, featuring everything from freshly baked goods to artisanal cheeses and handcrafted preserves.
3. Womenfolk at Ulster Folk Museum, Holywood, County Down, 8 March. Discover the vital roles women have played in shaping society – from hardworking mothers and skilled artisans to pioneers in politics and activism. Explore the lives of women who have connections to our exhibit buildings through guided tours with expert curators.
4. International Women's Day at Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh, County Tyrone, 8 March. Hear the stories of the women who lived in the exhibit buildings, like Mrs Mellon, the matriarch of the Mellon family. You can also visit the 'Bad Bridget' exhibition and learn the stories of thousands of brave women who emigrated. Discover the strength these women possessed as they left their old lives in Ireland to start again in America, despite the odds.
5. Causeway Speciality Market, Coleraine, County Londonderry, 8 March. The Causeway Specialty Market is a bustling, specialty food and craft market held in Coleraine Town Centre. Shoppers can enjoy browsing arts and crafts, take time to visit the array of food stalls with many award-winning artisan products or enjoy a wide variety of treats available, such as cakes, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, fudge and sticky toffee puddings.
6. World Book Day at Rowallane Garden, Saintfield, County Down, 8 March. Local bookshops and libraries will be joining, along with storytellers, face painter, and craft stations to spark creativity. Fancy dress is encouraged, so come dressed as your favourite book character for a chance to win some fantastic prizes.
7. Belfast Punk Music Walking Tour, Belfast, County Antrim, 8 March. Come explore the story of punk music in Belfast on this walking tour, with a specialist music guide who has loved punk music since the 1970s. Since bands like The Outcasts, Rudi, Stiff Little Fingers, Ruefrex and Victim erupted onto the scene in Belfast back in the late 1970s, Belfast punk has held a special place in music history, near and far.
8. Enniskillen Drama Festival 2025 at Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, 7 – 15 March. The Enniskillen Annual Drama Festival is a nine-night amateur drama festival staged annually in the Ardhowen Theatre each spring since 1980.
9. Master Craft Chocolate Experience at NearyNógs Stoneground Chocolate Makers, Kilkeel, County Down, 5 and 7 March (visit website for more dates). During your 85-minute tour they will guide you through the chocolate making process from Bean-to-Bar. Bean sorting, gentle Roasting, Breaking and Winnowing, stone-grinding and tempering are all part of making beautiful chocolate.
