For the whole month of June, Bangor Castle’s Walled Garden will be transformed into an outdoor art gallery when it hosts an exhibition of eclectic sculptures. Let your imagination soar as you step inside this tranquil space and start your journey of discovery…
The Ards and North Down Borough Council exhibition comprises of 28 stunning sculptures by 26 artists from all across the island of Ireland. Some of the works are large scale and impressive, however, some of the smaller pieces need to be sought out from the greenery and shrubbery, making a visit to ForM fun for all the family!
Speaking about ForM, The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Mark Brooks said: “I am delighted to welcome the ForM Exhibition back to our beautiful Walled Garden. It is always such a popular event with visitors and I would encourage everyone to come along and view the art during the month of June.”
Ards and North Down Borough Council’s Arts Officer, Patricia Hamilton said; “The ForM Sculpture Exhibition provides the opportunity for artists to challenge themselves to create work for a unique environment and be inspired by the stunning setting of Bangor Castle Walled Garden. The exhibition, especially creates an excellent opportunity for our local artists, some of whom are starting out on their artistic careers, to exhibit alongside established artists.”
ForM will remain open until 30 June and admission is free. Some of the sculptures are available to buy.
