Seven exciting festivals to start 2025

Belfast is a city of festivals and it’s starting the year with these treats:

  • The Out to Lunch Festival has already started the 2025 festival season, featuring a great mix of live music, comedy, theatre, film and more. The festival runs until 26 January. More here.
  • The annual 4 Corners Festival Belfast returns from 31 January to 9 February, with a faith inspired busy programme of art, music, discussion and sport. More here.
  • This year's NI Science Festival includes 250 events in over 90 venues between 12 February and 23 February, focusing on the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. More here.
  • Imagine! Belfast Festival. A festival of ideas and politics has a full programme of events from 24-30 March. More here.
  • Belfast XR Festival presents: In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats, the internationally acclaimed, award-winning interactive VR adventure that transports you into the heart of the Acid House movement is coming to Belfast in March at the stunning Carlisle Memorial Church venue. More here

Beyond Belfast

  • Ballyscullion Park Book Festival will return for its second year Saturday 10 - Sunday 11 May 2025. A celebration of writing, music and art in the heart of Seamus Heaney country, the festival features an exciting programme of literary events, panel discussions, and readings. More here.
