Belfast city centre is bursting with festive fun this season as Santa’s elves and Christmas characters return with a packed programme of free family activities. Winter’s Den at 2 Royal Avenue is back—now transformed into a cosy winter wonderland with crafting workshops, silent discos, carol singing, choir performances, the Belfast Potters’ Market, sustainable gift-wrapping sessions and even a New Year’s Eve céilí.
There’s plenty for pets too, with the popular Crufty Christmas Fashion Show on Saturday 7 December, plus Santa’s Post Office accepting letters until 21 December. Across the city, visitors can enjoy pop-up performances, walkabout characters, a fire and light show in the Cathedral Quarter (21 November & 5 December), vintage swing dancing at Grand Central Station, and family theatre show Ginger and Bread vs The Brussels Sprouts.
