Originally opened in 2022, the Portadown restaurant has undergone a transformation enjoying an investment of over £50,000 and the creation of four new jobs. The rebranded restaurant is now known as Top Blade Gastro
Stepping in off the street you enter a dark and mirrored black and gold themed steak and gastro restaurant. It’s a very different vibe than the original Belfast restaurant; that’s not all that’s different. The food offering in Portadown has a wider selection with the Main menu, a 2 course offer menu (£24.95), a 3 course offer menu (£33.95), and a Kid’s Menu.
On the main menu you’ll find a big selection of steaks including the Top Blade Steak (£18), Rump (£22), Sirloin (£27), T-Bone (£32), Fillet (8oz £29, 12oz £39), Chateaubriand (28oz £75), Tomahawk (1kg £75) and Seitan (£14), Wagyu (£49) with a selection of sides to add (£5.50), Veg (£5), Sauces (£4). There are 3 burger options (including a vegan burger) £17.
The 2 course menu is a much more gastro style selection with starters and mains. Expect classic favourites like fresh fish dishes, hearty pastas, and other comforting and delicious meals.
The 3 course menu is similar to the Main Menu but with only the Top Blade steak as an option (upgrades are available)

We enjoyed a Top Blade twist on the traditional French Onion soup, followed with a delicious Fillet Steak and pepper sauce with a side of Skin-on Fries and onion rings. And a superb Vegan burger with chunky chips. For dessert we had one Supersundae (it was indeed super and enough to share) and a flat white.
The rebrand is a welcome change and the new food selection reflects the wholesome approach to dining which their Portadown customers desire.
