Tim Hortons, the iconic Canadian donut store opens its latest drive thru in Newtownards at 7am on Monday 27th March.
The first store opened in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1964. They later introduced the famous Timbits in 1976 and a Canadian icon was born. By the year 2000 they opened their 2000th store and by 2017 it arrived in the UK.
Famous for donuts and coffee, they also offer a selection of breakfasts, burgers, wraps and hotdogs. Recently a vegan wrap and a Meatless Chicken Sandwich were introduced.
The Ards Drive Thru on the outskirts of the town at the Castlebawn Retail Park is the 12th store in Northern Ireland. It will offer drive thru, takeaway and a delivery service and will open from 6am until Midnight 7 days a week.
To celebrate the launch they are awarding the first fan in the drive-thru and restaurant queue with free drinks for a whole year. Additionally, for the first 100 customers, Tim Hortons will give away a free breakfast meal.
