Nando’s opens its brand-new Belfast Odyssey restaurant.
Who doesn’t love a cheeky Nando’s. They invited us along to see the new restaurant and experience some great Portuguese inspired food from the Southern African owned restaurant group. They are very passionate about their Southern African heritage and are continually working with South African based designers across all aspects of its restaurants. At Nando’s new Belfast Odyssey restaurant this includes lighting design and spiralling ceiling features. A striking timber wall covered in live plants also features.
As with all Nando’s you’ll see South African art on the wall. They are officially the biggest collector of Southern African contemporary art in the world with over 9000 pieces.
But for you, it’ll be all about the food and their legendary peri peri sauce. Are you a lemon and herb topping kind of person or a Vusa XX hot spice person?
Did you know they aren’t just about chicken? You can enjoy your favourite sauce on a selection of veggie or vegan meals. The spiced chickpea burger is delicious.
Nando's Belfast Odyssey restaurant follows their Sustainable Fit-out Guide. The fit-out guide lists certain must-haves, from having recycled content in tiles and using natural fibre insulation, to reusing existing features, and ensuring all taps, toilets and flushes are low flow, reducing the water they use.
With every newly opened or refurbished restaurant they team up with a local charity and lend them a helping hand. This might be as simple as installing some refrigeration so that they can work with Nando’s on their food donation programme, through to helping out with refurbishing their buildings. With this new restaurant they are supporting L‘arche. Find out more about L’arche here.
The Odyssey restaurant will no doubt be popular, and will be great for a quick and tasty meal before a Giant’s game, Concert or Cinema. It seats 110 inside, and 40 outside.
Nando’s Belfast Odyssey restaurant will be open from March 22nd 2023, 11:30am - 10pm seven days a week. For more information, please head to the official Belfast Odyssey restaurant page.
