Belfast’s streets will once again turn into a stage as Festival of Fools returns from 2 to 4 May 2026, bringing over 50 free performances to the city centre.
Now in its 21st year, the festival blends international circus, street theatre and local talent, with artists travelling from across Europe and beyond to perform alongside some of Ireland’s best-loved acts.

Standout shows include Cometa Circus with high-energy acrobatics and unicycle comedy, Wild Beasts of Silly bringing chaotic street theatre, and Box, a surreal mix of puppetry, dance and live music.
For something more immersive, The Whistle II offers a unique indoor experience at The MAC, with tickets priced at £5.
