Theatre Highlights For Early 2025

Do you love going to the theatre? There’s always plenty to choose from in Belfast whether you’re going to the Grand Opera House, The Lyric, The Mac or some of the smaller venues.

Here are some highlights to keep an eye out for in the first few months of 2025

Maggie, is your chance to catch up with everything Maggie Muff at The Mac. Start your year with some fun as Maggie brings the best of all 4 Maggie Muff plays into one new show. Catch Maggie at The Mac 22 January until 9 February.

The acclaimed National Theatre Production, War Horse, comes to the Grand Opera House  from 4-15 February. With 5 start reviews we are excited to see this global phenomenon come to Belfast.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat brings the smash hit London Palladium Production to the Grand Opera House from 18-23 February.

The Gap Year is back by popular demand at the Lyric Theatre. The show debuted in 2022 and returns from 1 February - 2 March 2025. Go on an adventure of a lifetime with 3 women in their 60’s.

The Olivier, Tony and Grammy award winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen arrives at the Grand Opera House from 11-15 March.

Murder For Two is a Bruiser Theatre Company and Mac production. It’s a high energy musical whodunnit putting the laughter into manslaughter. You won’t want to miss this killer comedy. Runs at The Mac from 24 April until 11 May.

The Velveteen Rabbit, a Lyric Theatre and Replay Co-Production arrives at the Lyric from 14-30 March. This new production is an original musical adapted from the children’s classic by Margery Williams.

Tina, The Tina Turner Musical is coming to the Grand Opera House from 6-24 May. It’s getting 5 star reviews saying it’s ‘simply the best!

The Importance Of Being Earnest, one of Oscar Wilde’s great comedies, steps in to the world of wit, charm, and sheer hilarity at the Lyric Theatre. The in house production runs from 31 May until 29 June.

Kinky Boots The Musical starring Johannes Radebe and Dan Partridge brings its sparkle to the Grand Opera House from 17-21 June.
