Accidental Theatre Finds a Permanent Home in Belfast

Accidental Theatre Finds a Permanent Home in Belfast

Accidental Theatre has some exciting news!

With help from funders across the UK, they have taken over the old Northern Bank building in Shaftesbury Square, Belfast. The building was empty, and now it will become a new arts and community space for everyone.

In December 2025, Accidental Theatre bought the building, giving them a permanent home in South Belfast. They started small, with artists sharing work in living rooms, and have grown into a place for theatre, music, comedy, writing, and community events.

Thanks to the support of funders, members, and the local community, this new space will help artists and bring people together for many years to come.

In 2026, they are also starting two new programmes to support young artists and help communities work together through art.
