The arrival of Wagamama adds another major chain restaurant to Odyssey Place’s growing casual dining lineup, sitting alongside familiar names like Zizzi, Five Guys and Nando’s.
And realistically, that is exactly where it fits.

Located less than a mile from Belfast city centre, Wagamama, like much of Odyssey Place, works best as part of a wider evening out. A quick dinner before a concert at the SSE Arena, food after bowling, or somewhere comfortable to sit before the cinema.
In that sense, it complements the space well.
The restaurant itself feels polished and modern, with warm wood interiors, communal seating and the familiar open kitchen design Wagamama has become known for. Despite the fast paced setup, the atmosphere remains relaxed enough for casual dinners and group visits.
On this visit, the Kare Burosu offered exactly the sort of comfort food many people want before an event night. The combination of shichimi coated silken tofu, udon noodles and curried vegetable broth delivered warmth and depth without becoming overly heavy. Mushrooms, carrot and pea shoots kept the dish balanced, while the broth carried enough spice to feel satisfying.
What Wagamama does particularly well is consistency. Like the other large chain restaurants surrounding it, the appeal is less about originality and more about reliability. You know roughly what experience you are getting before you arrive. Service is friendly and quick, menus are broad enough for groups, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
That predictability often gets dismissed in food conversations, but places like Odyssey Place benefit from dependable dining options that work well around entertainment plans.
Wagamama is another solid chain dining option within the Titanic Quarter area, and it fits naturally into the Odyssey Place offering.
