Luna Belfast Pre Theatre Dining and a Growing Local Following

Luna Belfast Pre Theatre Dining and a Growing Local Following

Since opening in October 2025, Luna has quickly built a loyal following in East Belfast.

Recently, Belfast Times was invited to experience the restaurant’s pre theatre menu and learn more about its newly launched brunch offering.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear why Luna has generated such positive word of mouth. The stylish dining room combines deep blue panelling, brickwork and a relaxed atmosphere that feels warm and welcoming.

Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from the diners around us. Several guests appeared to be familiar faces, greeted warmly by staff and clearly comfortable in their surroundings. For a restaurant less than a year old, that level of loyalty is

Spinach and Courgette Gnudi

Luna’s pre theatre menu offers excellent value at £52 for two people, including two courses and a drink each.

During our visit, the Supreme of Chicken with soda bread gnocchi, chard and butter sauce proved a good choice, with perfectly cooked chicken and rich, balanced flavours throughout.

The Spinach and Courgette Gnudi was equally enjoyable. Crisp on the outside and soft within, it was served with grilled courgette and a vibrant herb sauce.

Dessert came in the form of an orange polenta cake with chantilly cream, delivering bright citrus notes and providing a fitting end to our meal.

Alongside its evening offering, Luna has also launched a new brunch menu, available every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 3pm. While we did not sample the brunch dishes during this visit, highlights include Steak and Eggs, Ham Hock Rosti, Smoked salmon on griddled crumpets and Soufflé Pancakes.

Less than a year after opening, Luna appears to have found its footing remarkably quickly, combining quality food, welcoming service and a growing base of loyal customers. Based on our visit, it is easy to understand why so many diners are already returning.

Disclosure: Belfast Times was invited by Luna to experience its pre theatre menu. The meal was provided on a complimentary basis. No payment was received for this feature and all opinions expressed are our own.
